Ready to Buy?

Now comes the hard part -- choosing what's right for you from the wealth of materials Accordance offers. There are packages to suit everyone from seminary students and scholars to those who simply want to read the English Bible or teach at any level. These include over 30 CD-ROMs and DVDs, and several groups of modules which can be unlocked by purchasing a code.

There are three components to the purchase:

The Accordance program is included on every CD-ROM, and can also be downloaded with the purchase of a code. If you purchase the program first, the price is credited towards the purchase of one of the primary collections below. If you purchase a CD-ROM, you do not need to pay separately for the program (except for upgrade CDs priced at $20 or less). However, version 8 is currently included only with the primary collections, and a few other CD-ROms, so to get the latest version with other CDs you may need to pay for an upgrade.
The program itself is of no use without the "modules." Modules are the files of the Bible texts, dictionaries, commentaries, and other resources which you'll use within Accordance. Each Accordance CD-ROM contains one or more modules which will expand your Accordance library and add to the capabilities of the software itself. Some modules are also available for download. There are well over 400 modules to choose from.

Many Accordance CD-ROMs you purchase will include all of the modules on that CD-ROM. On other CD-ROMs some modules may be "locked" and can only be added with the purchase of an unlock code. This enables you to pick and choose how you want to build your Accordance library. Use the Modules section to explore the modules in each category, or to scroll through the complete list. For details of any module, click on its icon. You'll be given a description, a screenshot, and a listing of every CD-ROM or package in which that module is either included or available.
The Packages are the DVDs and CD-ROMs we offer, containing the modules. Some bundles or groups of modules are also classed as packages. We strongly recommend that you start with one of our Primary Collections, then choose which Bibles, commentaries, and other tools you want to add to it. You can always add more later -- every CD-ROM and module is completely integrated into your Accordance program.

You'll be given a description of the contents and a list of each module included in the package, or available for unlocking. An asterisk to the right means the module can only be ordered as part of a package, a price means it can be ordered individually as well as in a package.

The Starter Collection is a free set of basic Bible study tools. It can be used with the downloaded Accordance program, or added to any installation of Accordance 6 or above to supplement the current modules.

The Library Collection is designed for studies using English texts and includes a broad variety of commentaries, dictionaries, and writings as well as basic tools for Bible study. It comes in four "levels," each with an additional choice of a modern Bible, and the option to upgrade at any time to a higher level.

The Scholar's Collection offers unlocks of original language texts with complete grammatical and morphological tagging, as well as lexicons. Many Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Syriac texts are available, often with English versions. The three "levels" are intended for students, discounted 50% over the individual prices, and form excellent starting points.

The Jewish Collection includes the Hebrew Bible with translations and study tools, and offers the Mishna at the higher levels. It comes in three "levels" with the option to upgrade or unlock additional modules.

The Catholic Collection also comes in three "levels." It includes Catholic translations, basic study tools, and Catholic materials such as the Catechism and Vatican documents.
