Upgrading Accordance
As we explain on Ready to Buy?, there are three components to the upgrade of Accordance: the program, the modules, and the CD-ROMs.
Version 8 is a major program upgrade and highly recommended for all users.
Module Upgrades are normally included with the upgrade to the new CD-ROM of the same series, and some can be downloaded.
You will want to stay up-to-date with your CD-ROMs as well as the program: with each release the modules are corrected and updated, and new modules are often added to the packages or available for unlocking. Installed modules are updated automatically when you run the installer (a few require a new unlock code). The installers are updated to work with the latest OS X.
Any CD-ROM with a newer version of Accordance will upgrade your program, but CD-ROM upgrades priced at $20 or less do require you to own that version of Accordance (or higher).
Note: Purchasing a CD-ROM as an upgrade does NOT allow you to give away or sell your original copy.
To purchase most upgrades, order the item at usual price and then check the Upgrades box in the shopping cart, or write a comment in the comments box.
- Library 8 Upgrades on the Primary 8 DVD add 25 new modules.
- Scholar's Collection 8 on the Primary 8 DVD adds several new modules and an new OS X installer.
Note: The DVD requires OS X and a DVD reader. If your system does not meet these requirements, please order the slightly older CD-ROMs: Library 7or Scholar's Collection 7.
- Other CD-ROM Upgrades are offered at a nominal price.
We also offer Crossgrades which are upgrades from the same module on another platform.
Normally when a module is updated, the only fee to the user is a nominal charge for the new CD-ROM or DVD. Some CD-ROMs include additional content for which we do charge. We encourage all users to stay current with their CD-ROMs.
The AccUpdater widget informs users on 10.4 and above of any modules for which a newer version is available.
Automatic downloads are available through the AccUpdater widget for modules updated since the release of the latest CD-ROM in a series. Users on older systems may contact us directly for a link to the downloads of BDAG, KJVS, and Talmud.
