April 14th Accordance eAcademy 2020
Live Webinar Event
On April 14, 2020, we offered a one-day eAcademy event with three sessions. Videos from these sessions can be found below.
TITLE/THEME: “Power Searching and Extra-biblical Resources in Accordance!”
Sessions
Session #1 (Mark Allison)
Find What You are Looking For: “Power Searching” in Accordance!
Accordance makes searching easy, but we’ve all had times where we just can’t seem to find what we’re looking for. In this class, we’ll cover many not-so-obvious search tips that will start you on your way to becoming an Accordance power user. We’ll cover searching in both Texts and Tools, utilizing some of the lesser-known commands and symbols.
Session #2 (Dr. Roy Brown)
Targums? Talmud? What are the Hebrew Resources Available in Accordance?
Discover the wealth of resources offered by Accordance and how they will benefit your understanding of the background and meaning of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). This session will not only show how to use basic Accordance tools such lexicons and grammars, but also introduce and describe several other ancient resources available on Accordance. These include the Dead Sea Scrolls, Samaritan Pentateuch, Hebrew Inscriptions, Aramaic Targums, Mishna, Talmud, and more! Most of these resources are also available in English on Accordance, so a knowledge of the Hebrew language is not required.
Session #3 (Richard Mansfield)
Using Accordance with the Church Fathers
Accordance is much more than original languages and biblical studies! Explore the vast number of Accordance resources related to Patristic Studies. Learn tips and tricks for incorporating the teachings of the Church Fathers into sermons, Bible studies, and other exegetical work.
