An upgrade to the ESV Study Bible Notes is available.
This eagerly awaited new translation published by Crossway stands in the classic stream of Bible translations, KJV, ASV, and RSV,and is based on the 1971 RSV. As an essentially literal translation, the ESV seeks to capture the precise meaning of the original text and carry over the full range of meaning.
Strong’s numbers have been added throughout the text – this offers users the ability to amplify to Hebrew and Greek dictionaries and perform searches based on Strong’s numbers. The module also includes poetic formatting and red letter (optional) as well as the Translators’ Notes, Introductions, and Cross References.
7/24/16 Update: The 4.0 update version (released along with the 4.1 update) brings the text inline with the “Permanent Text Edition (2016)”.
8/2/16 Update: The 5.0 update combines the Translators’ Notes and the Cross References into a single module (ESV Notes). The separate Cross References file (ESV Crossrefs) can be removed from the Accordance Library.
