I like study bibles as they are an excellent resource to give a very top level view of a passage and as such tend to be my first port of call.
The reason i first got accordance was because i could get the original niv study bible in a bible app when i switched to mac from windows.
I upgraded to this niv study bible when it was on offer and because of all the positive reviews it received. For me, the esv study bible together with the jewish study bible/jewish annotated new testament offer a much better insight.
I like having study bibles that relate to the translation but i already had the original niv study bible. Since buying it, i have not found this particular volume to offer any fresh insights.
